CHRISTIAN AUTHOR USES FICTION TO HELP RAISE AWARENESS OF INTERNATIONAL ISSUE

January 2010, LITTLE ROCK – Author Robin Caroll’s upcoming release, Deliver Us From Evil, helps bring to light the
travesty of international child trafficking.

On January 4th, President Barack Obama proclaimed January 2010 as National Slavery and Human Trafficking
Prevention Month. Congress is looking to permanently set January as National Slavery and Trafficking Prevention
Month. Human trafficking  is the world’s fastest growing industry, according to 2009 State Department Trafficking in
Persons Report. The US State department estimates that some 800,000 people are trafficked across international
borders each year and about 80 percent of them are female and at least 50% are children.

Deliver Us From Evil summary: A beautiful yet tough woman working in a beautiful yet tough setting, Brannon Callahan
is a search and rescue helicopter pilot for the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Strong faith and a decorated
history of service have kept her one step ahead of on-the-job dangers, but there’s no precedent for what’s about to
happen. After a blizzard takes down a small helicopter carrying U.S. Marshal Roark Holland (already haunted by a
recent tragedy), Brannon must save him in more ways than one and safeguard the donor heart he’s transporting to a
government witness on the edge of death. Otherwise the largest child trafficking ring in history—with shocking links
from Thailand to Tennessee—will slip further away into darkness along the Appalachian Trail.

“The kind of novel ‘Ripped from the headlines’ was meant to describe. Compelling.”—James Scott Bell, author of
Deceived and Try Fear

“Deliver Us From Evil (4.5 stars) Caroll knows what suspense readers want: brave characters in exciting occupations,
nonstop action, political intrigue and a dose of romance for that added zing. Even when readers figure out the villain,
they will stay riveted to their seats as the plot unfolds. A keeper! —Chandra McNeil Romantic Times Magazine,
selecting Deliver Us From Evil as a February TOP PICK.

“Robin Caroll nails the gritty, tough world of law enforcement and brings to light the tragedy of human trafficking in this
powerful novel.”—Mark Mynheir, homicide detective and author of The Night Watchman
